Late actor Sushant Singh Rajput died by suicide on June 14 2020. No one can forget this date as SSR was found hanging by his staff at his Bandra residence. It was a shocking news for the entire nation. The case went to Mumbai police first and then the CBI took over the case. After five years the crime branch submitted the final closure report before a special court in Mumbai. The report said its a simple case of suicide. Soon after Sushants death the case involved his then-girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty and his brother Showik. They were arrested and their family were put under intense scrutiny. After the CBIs closure report came Rhea and her family went to Mumbais famous Siddhi Vinayak Temple to take blessings from Lord Ganesha. The actress close friend Nidhi Hiranandani broke silence about the painful journey that family went through. In an interview Nidhi talked about Sushant and Rheas closeness and love. She also recalled the difficult time when Rhea was first summoned in the case. “As a couple they were full of love it was a beautiful relationship. Both of them were always there for each other” she said. She added “I was constantly in touch with Rhea when all this was happening. I don’t think she or her family got even a minute to digest the loss of a loved one. They were shocked were grieving and they were just thrown into this survival mode. They couldn’t even sit and mourn properly.” Chakrabortys friend recalled the day Rhea walked out and journalists shoved their mics in her face she came home with bruises all over her arms and face. That’s when we realized it was just the beginning. I felt completely helpless. I was sitting with her mom watching TV when we saw it all unfold. Seeing her fall to the ground like that I will never forget that moment. It was the most devastating time of their lives.
