Bengaluru A young Bihari migrant worker was abducted and sexually assaulted in the early hours of Thursday when she and her brother were looking for food near a Bengaluru train station.

Reports of the event came from the boundaries of the Mahadevapura police station.

One of the rapists was apprehended by the townspeople, who hurried to the scene upon hearing the victim’s cries, and after beating him, they turned him over to the police. One more criminal was taken into custody by the police after questioning the accused. Ashif was named as one of the defendants.

A complaint has been filed by the police in accordance with Sections 115 (2), 126 (2), 351 (2), 351 (3), 352, 64, and 3 (5) of the Bharatiya Nayay Sanhita. The event happened between 1.20 and 1.45 in the morning.

The victim, who is 19 years old, comes from Bihar’s Banka district, police said. A month ago, she and her family traveled to Kerala’s Kattappan village to work in the cardamom plantations. The girl’s family made the decision to return to their hometown in Bihar once the season concluded. They asked people at the Ernakular train station in Kerala how to go to Bihar on April 1st, and they advised the family to travel to Bengaluru.

The victim’s brother, who lives in Bengaluru, was called by the family and told them to disembark at the city’s K.R. Puram Railway station. As a result, on April 1 at 9 a.m., the family left Kerala for Bengaluru via train. At 1.13 a.m., the family disembarked from the train as it arrived at the K.R. Puram station.

While the rest of the family remained at the train station, the victim and her brother were strolling towards Mahadevapura at about 1.20 a.m. in quest of food. The victim’s brother was assaulted by the two accused individuals at about 1:30 in the morning.

One of the accused pulled the girl to a remote location and sexually assaulted her, while another accused violently detained the victim’s brother. The victim informed the police that she was able to cry for assistance despite the rapist’s attempts to choke her and stop her from doing so.

The people flocked to the scene after hearing the cries. The two attempted to flee the area after seeing the folks. The rapist was apprehended by the people who pursued them. They brought him to the police station after beating him.
