The Turkish men’s national team has risen one rank and is now in 27th place following the April world record updates announced by the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA).
Türkiye earned 14.23 points after defeating Hungary 3-1 and 3-0 in the playoffs, thus advancing to the UEFA Nations League A. The Crescent Stars reached 1,551.47 points, surpassing Sweden and reaching the 27th slot.
Argentina who secured their spot in the 2026 FIFA World Cup by defeating Uruguay 1-0 and Brazil 4-1 in the qualifiers, remained at the top of the rankings.
In the list, Spain moved ahead of France to take second place, while the Netherlands surpassed Portugal to rise to sixth place. The next FIFA World Ranking will be announced on July 10.
