Among those defending the pair is Ameesha Patel, who recently addressed the criticism in an interaction with the paparazzi. Drawing a parallel with her own film career, she stated, "Mere aur Sunny (Deol) ji mein bhi to 20 saal ka gap tha, par jab jodi chalti hai to chalti hai. Anyways, Salman is just muah."
Ameesha also praised Sikandar, dismissing the negativity around the film. She said, "Mujhe to bohot achi lagi, baaki kuch toh log kahenge, logon ka kaam hai kehna. Logon ko film yunhi nahi pasand aarahi hai, film achi jaa rahi hai to bolne do jisko jo bolna hai."
Wrapping up, the Gadar actress expressed her admiration for Salman, calling him a megastar who will always remain one.

Pati ka permission toh mil hi jayega na?"
