Veteran actor and director Manoj Kumar known as Bharat Kumar for making films with patriotic themes died at 87 in Mumbai after suffering a severe heart attack. Kumar was known for movies like Shaheed Purab Aur Paschim Upkar and Roti Kapda Aur Makaan during his career spanning over 40 years. There was one movie that changed Manoj Kumars life professionaly and personally. In 1981 Kumar directed and featured in historical drama Kranti that went on to become the biggest patriotic hit of all time. The movie featured Manoj Kumar Dilip Kumar Hema Malini Shashi Kapoor Parveen Babi and Shatrughan Sinha topped the box office chart that year. The film got so much buzz that people started selling Kranti T shirts jackets vests and even underwear in Delhi Rajasthan Uttar Pradesh and Haryana.
