HS Keerthana was an important part of South cinema and also enjoyed a great following. However her passion for acting started to drift and she wanted to pursue UPSC. As she started her new journey she put in a lot of effort and eventually cracked the UPSC exam and became an IAS officer. But do you know that HS Keerthana took 5 years to crack the exam? Despite the failures she did not give up — and one day finally succeeded. In her sixth attempt she cracked the exam with an impressive All India Rank (AIR) of 167. For her first posting after becoming an IAS officer she served as the Assistant Commissioner in the Mandya district of Karnataka.
