Through smartphone applications, the Uttar Pradesh government has made it easier to pay power bills. Instead of selecting their Discom to pay their bills, customers now simply need to choose UPPCL and their district name. In the past, customers had to provide information regarding the firm that distributed their power, which often resulted in payment problems.
Customers will now just need to choose UPPCL, input their district name, and provide their account number in order to pay bills using mobile applications like BHIM, Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, and Amazon Pay.
The goal of Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited’s (UPPCL) upgrade is to reduce payment mistakes and expedite the procedure. Previously accessible on the UPPCL website, this feature has recently been expanded to mobile payment systems.
To help customers adjust to the shift, both the old and new systems are now in use. To provide a more comfortable and error-free payment experience for consumers, only the new system will be used starting next month.
