DoT took a big step for railway passengers, stolen smartphones will be found quickly

There have been many reports of smartphones being stolen or lost while traveling in trains. Losing the phone also increases the risk of misuse of personal data. DoT has taken a big step giving relief to crores of passengers so that the lost phone can be easily recovered.

If you are traveling in a train and the phone gets stolen or lost, it can be a big problem. Along with this, our personal data can also be in danger. However, now this tension is going to end. DoT has taken a big step for the convenience of passengers.

If the phone gets stolen or lost while traveling in a train, then now you do not need to take tension. To provide relief to the passengers, the Department of Telecommunications has partnered with RPF. Now DoT and RPF will work together to find the lost mobile of the passengers.

This move of the Department of Telecommunications has given great relief to crores of passengers traveling every day. The mobile phone lost during the journey at the station or in the train can now be traced soon. Now passengers traveling in the train will be able to block their phone through the Central Equipment Identity Register i.e. CEIR portal. The lost phone can also be easily tracked through CEIR.

A post was also made by the Department of Telecommunications on the social media platform X in this regard. DoT said that if the phone is stolen or lost at the railway station or in the train, it can be traced with the help of RPF and communication app. According to Dot, if the phone is not found, then the phone can also be blocked through the app.

With the help of this government app, you can block a lost phone, find out how many numbers are active in your name, and also report calls coming from internet numbers. This government app also provides the service of reporting against any suspected fraud.
