The court has rejected the bail application of Mohammad Shariful Islam Shahzad, accused in the attack on actor Saif Ali Khan. In the court, the government lawyer said that the decent can run away from the country or can tamper with witnesses and evils. Explain that Kolkar Mumbai Police in his reply has opposed bail and said that the investigation has revealed that the accused is a Bangladeshi citizen and is living illegally in India. Therefore, if the arrested accused is released on bail, then there is a strong possibility that he will flee to Bangladesh.

Police said that the crime of accused Shariful is very serious and strong evidence is available against him. If the accused is released on bail, there is a possibility that the complainants and witnesses can be lured or affected. There is also no denying that he will commit such crimes again and again.

Evidence found against accused

The Mumbai Police told the court that during the attack on actor Saif Ali Khan in his house in Bandra, a piece of knife trapped near his spine and a part found on the spot matches the weapon recovered from the accused Mohammad Shariful Islam. Opposing the bail petition of the accused, the police said that the three pieces were used to attack the actor.

In fact, on 16 January, an intruder in Saif Ali Khan's 12th floor apartment in Bandra stabbed him with several stabs. After Hamale, emergency surgery was performed at Lilavati Hospital to remove a piece of knife near the spine of Saif (54). He was discharged after five days. Bangladeshi citizen Shariful Islam was detained two days later.

FSL report cited

The police cited the report of Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) in a written reply to the bail plea. In a written reply by the police, it has been said that a piece of knife recovered from the accused, a piece found at the crime site and a third piece trapped near the spine of the mine was sent to a medical officer for investigation. In response, it has been said that according to the report presented by the officer, the pieces of the knife match each other and are of the same weapon.

The accused in his bail plea filed through lawyer Ajay Gawli claimed that the FIR is completely false and a false case has been registered against him. The bail petition said that the investigation of the case has been practically completed and only the charge sheet is yet to be filed. According to the petition, the accused has cooperated in the investigation and should not be kept in custody. The next hearing of the case will be held on April 9.
