India is going to use advanced drone camera technology and for that an Indian defence company has joined hands with a leading Israeli company. The move is seen as a major step towards strengthening the countrys defence capabilities. An Indian company will supply the surveillance technology and equipment at a very low cost.
According to the official statement Paras Defence and Space Technologies and Israels Microcon Vision have signed an agreement for the advanced surveillance technology. Paras Defence and Space Technologies will supply the drone camera technology in the country asta very low cost. The Indian company plans to utilise domestically sourced materials in the production of drone cameras and intelligence surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) equipment. This strategy aims to lower costs and bolster Indias self-sufficiency in this sector.
Notably Israels Microcon Vision company is a part of the Controp and Rafael Group.
Paras Defence announced plans to produce two surveillance system models at significantly reduced costs—50-60 percent lower than their typical import price of approximately Rs 20 lakh and Rs 40 lakh. This cost reduction will increase accessibility for both Indian defence and commercial sectors. The systems will incorporate advanced technologies like AI-powered analytics high-resolution imaging and thermal vision resulting in enhanced surveillance capabilities and improved operational efficiency.
