According to Kolusu Parthasarathy, minister of housing, information, and public relations, the housing plan has been found to have anomalies of Rs 120 crore that occurred under the YSRCP’s administration. He promised that those behind this massive swindle would not escape punishment from the authorities. During a review meeting on current home building in Nellore on Friday, the minister said these things. In the company of Servepalle MLA Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy, he examined buildings in Tothapalle Gudur mandal’s Varigonda village.
Later, the minister discovered that several local YSRCP representatives had coerced signatures in order to take money out of the recipients’ bank accounts while speaking with them in the hamlet. He said that local YSRCP leaders were abusing their position of authority and stealing public funds by misleading the underprivileged.
In response to requests from local MLAs and ministers, the government has mandated a vigilance investigation into the issue. The minister said that those found guilty of infractions in the housing plan were the result of the probe. He continued by saying that the government intends to prosecute specific officials for their proven participation in this scheme in addition to using the Revenue Recovery Act to recoup the stolen money.
With a goal of building 10 lakh homes around the state, Minister Parthasarathy emphasized that Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu is dedicated to provide homes to the underprivileged. Additionally, he announced intentions to provide Rs 50,000 for BCs and Rs 75,000 for SCs in extra financial help under the initiative.
MLA Servepalle Chandramohan Reddy urged the government to put those found guilty in jail and called for strict action against the contractors who were responsible for the violations. Party leaders attended the occasion as well.
