There is great news for the youth dreaming of a job in Railways. The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has completed the preparations to release bumper vacancies for the posts of Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP). Short notification has been issued in this regard. This time recruitment will be done on a total of 9900 posts, due to which thousands of youth are going to get a golden opportunity.
The Railway Board has informed that soon the detailed notification will also be released on the official websites of RRB. This recruitment will also give a chance to those candidates who could not appear in the ALP recruitment of 2024 due to some reason or could not succeed in CBT-1.
Eligibility
The eligibility for the ALP post released earlier by the railways was 10th pass + ITI or 10th + 3-year diploma in the relevant trade. While the age limit was 18 to 30 years (exemption to reserved categories). This time also it is expected that the eligibility will be the same as before. However, no official confirmation has been made by the railways yet.
Selection will be done like this
First Stage CBT (Computer Based Test – 75 questions, 1 hour)
Second Stage CBT (two parts – A: 100 questions/90 minutes, B: 75 questions/60 minutes)
Computer Based Aptitude Test
Document Verification
Negative Marking: Deduction of 1/3 marks in first and second stage. There is no negative marking in aptitude test.
This application fee will have to be paid.
General/OBC: Rs 500 (Rs 400 refunded on participating in CBT-1)
SC/ST/Women/Divyang/EBC: Rs 250 (Full Rs 250 refunded on participating in CBT-1)
Important thing
Railway Board had already announced in its calendar that new ALP recruitment will be released every year between January and March. In such a situation, this recruitment has been brought on time as per the plan of the board. Youths are advised to apply in time and wait for the official notification.
