Emma Raducanu needs to make selfish decision after acting like Roman Abramovich

Emma Raducanu has to be selfish and put herself first if she is to build on her Miami Open progress. It makes complete sense for the 22-year-old not to link up with her British team-mates against Germany and Netherlands next week.

How many people will ask Raducanu how many BJK Cup titles she won once she retires? I bet a hell of a lot more will ask how many Grand Slams she ended up with. That is where her focus has got to be.

If everything off the court were going swimmingly, then maybe questions would be asked over why she won't represent her country. But now isn't the right time.

While Raducanu is behaving like Roman Abramovich and axing her coach at every available opportunity, a period of stability isn't the worst idea.

A break also alleviates the risk of injury, which should be her top priority.

Players can get to Grand Slam finals without a coach. See example: Nick Kyrgios. Getting to a Grand Slam final injured is a lot more difficult.

With one Major already under her belt, Raducanu's long-term ambition has to be more. And doing everything to keep fit and healthy is the smartest call.

Mad Max

Max Verstappen must feel like he is completely untouchable, no other driver would be able to turn on his own team as much.

The Dutchman liked an Instagram post accusing Red Bull bosses of "bullying" Liam Lawson.

And fair play for sticking by his guns and confirming it wasn't an accidental like in his press conference.
