A heart-wrenching incident from Dharashiv, Maharashtra, has shocked many. During a college farewell ceremony, a student delivering her speech on stage suddenly collapsed while laughing and tragically passed away. The incident was caught on camera and the video has since gone viral.
The girl, identified as Varsha Bharat Kharat, a third-year B.Sc. student at Shinde College in Paranda, was expressing her emotions during the farewell ceremony. While speaking and laughing, she suddenly collapsed on stage. She was immediately rushed to a hospital, where doctors declared her dead on arrival.
Doctors later revealed that Varsha had undergone an open heart surgery during her childhood and suffered from a heart condition. Teachers mentioned that although her parents had informed them about her past medical history, she never showed signs of illness while at college.

Varsha belonged to a farming family from a village near Madh Taluka in Solapur district. She is survived by her parents, a sister, and a brother. Her sudden death has left her family devastated and the entire community in mourning.
In recent months, several similar incidents have been reported—people collapsing while dancing, speaking, or even exercising in gyms. In most of these cases, the cause is linked to heart attacks or pre-existing heart conditions. In Varsha’s case too, it appears her congenital heart condition was the cause.
