A new town named among the UK's best places to buy a home has the region's first baseball arena.

Brent Cross Town is a new town centre development under construction in Hendon and Cricklewood, north London. Work began in 2020 and will be complete by 2030.

The development is planned to cost around £4.5 billion to construct and will include 6,700 homes, workspace for 25,000 people, four parks, transport improvements

It featured on The Times' list of the UK's 20 'on the up' hotspots and was dubbed one of the smartest places to invest in 2025.

Designer Stacy Chan, one of the first residents, told The Times: "There's already a strong sense of community, and it's so peaceful with all the green space. I'm thinking of getting a dog!"

Studios start at £420,000, while the average home in Brent Cross Town is priced around £732,000. The average house price in the UK is £267,500 as of February 2025, according to Zoopla.

Brent Cross Town is also home to The 108, Europe's biggest (and London's first) indoor, all-weather baseball and softball facility.

The town has a new Thameslink station and a huge park as well as a coffee roaster, a sourdough bakery, a pizza restaurant, and an ice cream parlour.
