BSSC Recruitment 2025: The Bihar Staff Selection Commission (BSSC) has invited applications for recruitment to a total of 682 posts of Sub-Statistical Officer (SSO) and Block Statistical Officer (BSO) in the state. The application process has started and the last date for the candidates to apply is 19 April 2025. Interested and eligible candidates can apply by visiting the official website bssc.bihar.gov.in.

Eligibility and Criteria

Candidates applying for this recruitment should have a bachelor's degree in one of the subjects of Economics, Mathematics, or Statistics from a recognized university. Apart from this, the minimum age of the candidate should be 21 years. The maximum age limit has been fixed differently for different categories: 37 years for unreserved men, 40 years for OBC (women and men), and unreserved women, and 42 years for SC/ST (men and women). In addition, all Divyang candidates will be given a relaxation of 10 years in the age limit.

Application fee
Application in this recruitment can be done only through online mode. The application fee for male candidates of the general category, backward class and extremely backward class is Rs 540, while the application fee for Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe (permanent resident of Bihar), and Divyang candidates is Rs 135. At the same time, the application fee for female candidates of Bihar state has also been fixed at Rs 135.
