Rahul Gandhi, the leader of the opposition in the Lok Sabha, traveled to Begusarai, Bihar, on Monday to participate in the ‘Palayan Roko Naukri Do’ Yatra, which is being led by Kanhaiya Kumar, the national in-charge of the NSUI. Gandhi said that unemployment is the state’s largest problem and that the central government is ignoring Bihar prior to his involvement in the campaign. Later in the day, he is also anticipated to speak to Patna party workers.
Rahul Gandhi announced on Sunday that he will go to Begusarai to take part in the Yatra in a post on X. “Young Bihar friends, on April 7th, I will go to Begusarai to walk shoulder to shoulder with you in the ‘Roko Palayan, Do Naukri’ campaign. Showing the world the spirit of Bihar’s young, their sufferings, and their battles is the aim,” Rahul said.
In order to exert pressure on the state administration, he also asked the state’s youth to participate in the yatra wearing white t-shirts. “Ask questions, speak out, and wear a white t-shirt to hold the government responsible and to exert pressure for your rights. Together, let’s turn Bihar into a state of opportunity,” he said.
“We are doing this campaign because of the problems you confront, such unemployment, inflation, paper leaks, and the successive cuts to government employment, as well as privatization that doesn’t help you. We refer to this as the “Palayan Yatra.” To show the world how Bihar’s young feel and to exert pressure on the Bihar government, please join us in donning white t-shirts. In order to create a new Bihar, we want to harness the youth’s enthusiasm,” Rahul Gandhi said.
After visiting Bihar on January 18 and February 5, this is Rahul Gandhi’s third visit in as many months. The NDA leaders noted that the Congress has been disregarding Lalu Yadav’s RJD in recent months, despite the Congress leaders’ claim that the opposition leader has a particular fondness for the people of Bihar.
