IPL 2025: MI vs. RCB: The five-time champion Mumbai Indians (MI) may breathe a sigh of relief as their bowling concerns will be alleviated when they play Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) at the Wankhede Stadium on Monday. Jasprit Bumrah is expected to make a return.

Due to a back ailment, the speedster has missed India’s last Border-Gavaskar Trophy Test match against Australia in January. He also missed the Champions Trophy and the first few games of the IPL.

When Bumrah is selected in MI’s starting XI for the RCB game, he will be excited to get off to a strong start to the season.

For the first time since January of this year, Bumrah returned to an active net session on Sunday. The Mumbai Indians’ batting coach, Kieron Pollard, lifted him on his shoulders, and the star pacer rolled his arm over for a round of left-arm spin before using his skill to trouble batters.

His availability for Monday’s encounter against Royal Challengers Bengaluru, which head coach Mahela Jayawardene confirmed on Sunday, would have been announced to millions of fans nationwide as well.

When the national team travels to England in June, they may honestly expect to have Bumrah on their roster, while the Mumbai Indians will have their captain back.

Fans should expect to see Bumrah give it his best against star batsman Virat Kohli at the Wankhede, however, as he bowled with no apparent pain when he had the ball in his hands.

The master hitter will be prepared for the crucial match on Monday, however, since Kohli’s absence from the RCB nets was noticeable.
