Hyderabad. Mohammad Siraj broke the silence after winning the Gujarat Titans in IPL 2025 over Sunrisers Hyderabad. He said that he was unable to digest how he was dropped from the Indian team for the Champions Trophy 2025. Siraj was not selected in the team that was the winner in the Champions Trophy. He was kept in standby. However, now he has responded to critics from his performance in the IPL and has shown the selectors that they have a lot of life. Siraj has so far taken nine wickets in IPL 2025 and is second in the list.
Against Hyderabad, Siraj took four wickets for 17 runs on Sunday and due to this, Gujarat stopped SRH for 152 runs. GT then achieved the target by losing three wickets in the 17th over. Siraj was also adjudged Player of the Match. After the match, he said, “At one time I could not digest how I was not chosen for the Champions Trophy, but I maintained my enthusiasm and worked on my fitness and game.”
Siraj said, 'Whatever mistakes I was making, I worked on him and I am enjoying my bowling. As a professional player, when you are constantly with the Indian team, there is doubt in your mind how you are out, but I kept myself happy and was waiting for the IPL. When you are trying to do what you are trying to do, you remain at the top. When you rotate the ball in and out on both sides and it works easily, it gives you a different feeling. '
