In Podcast with Bharti Singh, Karan Patel has spoken about her old bad habits. He told that the way he used to appear onscreen angry in 'Yeh Hai Mohabbatein', he used to get anger offscreen. Because most of them used to get out of the house with the same mood. Karan Patel also admitted that he did not like the shooting of the morning at all and hence he often used to lie down on the serial set.
Harsh Limbachia also told during this time that Karan used to arrive before 12 o'clock in the morning despite having a time on the set of 'Dhazer-Khatra'. While clarifying this, Karan said that he used to come on the set with this mentality that the entire work would be finished. At the same time, he told that he believes that calling in haste does not keep honesty in work and quality in performance.

Karan told that he always came late and the shooting schedule was made according to his schedule, because he had trouble getting up in the morning. However, he also said that he can wake up for the gym at 8 am, but not for work. During this, Harsh also revealed that Karan Patel was the only TV actor who had his personal vanity van. Karan said that at that time his shooting schedule was so busy that he had to work for about 370 days in 365 days of the year, because the daily soap did not have a bank episode system and hence he had made a vanity van for himself.

He said that in a hurry, he got abused during editing, but since his character was Punjabi, perhaps no one paid attention. After this, Bharti asked him if he still gets daily soap offers? He raised the question that nowadays, where is a good TV show and even if they are being made, they are not getting offers.
Explaining the reason behind this, Karan said that nowadays 150-200 new artists are coming daily, whose budget is much less than the old artists. He said that perhaps he will be expensive by the manufacturers to 90%, and why will they be chosen when the same work is found at a low price. However, if sources are to be believed, many times Karan Patel is not getting good offers not because of his fees but due to his unprofessional attitude.
