Tom Cruise is back and more daring than ever in the high-octane trailer for Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning. The action-packed preview teases what could be the final chapter for Cruise’s iconic character, Ethan Hunt, bringing the decades-long spy saga to an explosive end after eight adrenaline-fuelled installments.

Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning Trailer

The trailer takes fans down memory lane, revisiting some of the franchise’s most memorable stunts and emotional moments. As the world teeters on the brink of collapse thanks to a rogue AI known as The Entity, Ethan pleads with his team to “trust him one last time." The stakes are higher than ever, as the agent is left reeling from betrayal and a web of compromised secrets.

A haunting voiceover cuts through the trailer: “Everything you were, everything you’ve done, has come to this. When the need for certainty is absolute and the odds are deemed impossible, the mission falls to him, should he choose to accept."

Cruise reprises his role as IMF’s most fearless operative, facing his deadliest mission yet—tracking down The Entity before it can destroy everything. And true to form, Cruise ups the ante with stunts that defy logic, including a jaw-dropping sequence where he dangles from a World War II-era fighter plane.

But the daredevil action doesn’t stop there. The trailer also teases an intense underwater submarine scene. In an interview with Empire, Cruise revealed just how physically demanding the shoot was. “When you stick your face out [of an airplane], going over 120 to 130 miles an hour, you’re not getting oxygen," he said. “So I had to train myself how to breathe. There were times I would pass out physically; I was unable to get back into the cockpit."
