The Abhyudaya program, which was started to help deserving but financially disadvantaged students study for competitive examinations, is about to undergo a significant expansion. In order to provide young people access to free coaching facilities nearer to their homes, the Uttar Pradesh government will expand the program to the block level.

At the moment, the state is home to 166 coaching centres. The program will become more accessible with this expansion, since centres will be established in each block. To improve the quality of learning, the program will also be reinforced with the use of artificial intelligence (AI) and other technical tools. By completing an online application form on the Abhyudaya site, students may proceed to register for the program.

Over 82,000 students have already benefitted from the program, which was launched in 2021 under the direction of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and is administered by the Social Welfare Department. 23,017 pupils have signed up for the coaching program in 2024–2025 alone.

Students are being mentored and given study materials by retired teachers and administrative authorities. In the future, top officials and university academics will also be enlisted to mentor pupils. Notably, the Abhyudaya site is already being used by more than 500 IAS officials, 450 IPS officers, and 300 IFS officers to participate in virtual and in-person sessions.

The program has arranged ten practice interviews for UPSC and UPPSC interview preparation in order to assist candidates even more. 743 students who were trained under the program during the previous four years have passed a variety of competitive exams:

-46 in UPSC

In UPPSC, -121

-86 on the NEET

-35 on the JEE

-455+ on further recruiting tests

By making excellent test preparation both inexpensive and accessible, the Abhyudaya program keeps opening opportunities for young people from disadvantaged backgrounds.
