Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], : According to IPL Media Advisory, Rajat Patidar, captain of Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), has been fined after his team was found to have maintained a slow over-rate against Mumbai Indians (MI) at the Wankhede Stadium during Match 21 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025.

Patidar was fined INR 12 lakh since it was RCB’s first infringement of the season under Article 2.2 of the IPL Code of Conduct, which addresses minimum over-rate breaches.

MI was 99/4 in 12 overs during the run-chase, but RCB was in danger of losing the match because to an incredible 89-run partnership between captain Hardik Pandya (42 in 15 balls, with three fours and four sixes) and Tilak Varma (56 in 29 balls, with four boundaries and four sixes).
