The administration has received the handbook for hiring 44,000 Home Guard members in Uttar Pradesh. The hiring procedure will start as soon as the cabinet gives its consent. This recruiting handbook was prepared under the direction of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

There will be two stages to the recruiting process, with 22,000 Home Guards chosen for each round. Starting with a written test, followed by a race, and finally a final selection, the procedure will resemble that of hiring constables.

To be eligible, candidates must be between the ages of 18 and 45 and have completed high school. The Home Guard Department created the handbook using the UP Police Recruitment and Promotion Board’s rules to guarantee an impartial and open selection procedure.

Twenty percent of the positions will be designated for women, and the same guidelines will be followed as in police recruiting. Interestingly, the last time the Home Guard was recruited was in 2011. Even though there are 118,348 authorised Home Guard positions, only around 75,000 volunteers are now serving.
