Good news has come before Akshaya Tritiya for the government employees of Uttar Pradesh. The UP government has increased the dearness allowance of government employees and pensioners by 2 percent. It is expected that the increased salary will come in the month of May. According to the information, dearness allowance in UP has now increased from 53 percent to 55 percent. The special thing is that the state government has seen moving at the footsteps of the central government due to the increase in DA rates. Recently, the Central Government had announced a two percent increase in DA for its employees and after the decision of the central government, the UP government has also announced a similar increase for its employees.
About 16 lakh state employees will get the benefit of DA hike for state employees. The benefit of two percent increase in inflation relief (DR) will get about 12 lakh pensioners. Employees will start getting increased dearness allowance from January. To make up for the arrears of the previous months, the government will pay through the provident fund accounts and national savings certificates of the employees.
Recently, 2 percent dearness allowance for its employees has also been announced by the Central Government. This announcement is also important because the 8th Pay Commission will be implemented from January next year. In such a situation, the last increase was seen under this 7th Pay Commission. After a change in dearness allowance, the DA has increased from 53 percent to 55 percent. Now everyone is waiting for the 8th Pay Commission.
