The showbiz list is dominated by Hollywood celebrities and global pop stars but there are also some Asian names in it including a filmmaker with a different identity who started in journalism and is now Asias richest person. According to Forbes list Chinese film producer and media tycoon Wang Changtian is the richest filmmaker in all of Asia. The 59-year-old self-made billionaire has a net worth of 3.5 billion (Rs 301907193000) which is more than any other film personality in Asia. Jackie Chan Shah Rukh Khan and even giants like Aditya Chopra and Karan Johar are behind him. Wang has earned this wealth on the strength of his media company Beijing Enlight Media. It is Chinas leading filmmaking company. Tom Cruise and Shahrukh Khan are also behind Wang Changtian started out as a journalist before becoming a radio and TV producer. After gaining enough experience he founded Beijing Enlight Media in 2005 which has established him as one of the worlds most powerful filmmakers. His net worth of 3.5 billion is more than the combined wealth of Aditya Chopra (900 million) Shah Rukh Khan (770 million) and Tom Cruise (800 million). Wangs recent film Ne Zha 2 was a global box office sensation. The film has become the highest-grossing animated movie of all time. It has also broken several collection records during its 2.17 billion box office run.
