Meta has been banned from going live for the Instagram Teen account. Yes, now users with accounts under the age of 16 cannot go live on Instagram without the permission of their parents. This feature will be turned off on Instagram Teen by default. If it is necessary to go live, then teen users will have to first get the approval of their parents, only then they will be able to go live on Instagram. According to Meta, with this new restriction, 97 percent of teenagers between the ages of 13 and 15 will be under this default setting.
Apart from this, if teen users receive pornographic pictures in DM, the new feature will automatically detect such pictures and blur them.
Not only Instagram, Meta has also introduced Teen Account for Facebook and Messenger. Like Instagram, users under the age of 16 will get enhanced privacy and security features on Facebook and Messenger. Through these features, most parents will allow their children to use social media without tension.
Many cool features are available in Teen Accounts
1. Teen account is private by default, which cannot be seen by public users.
2. All teen accounts come with strict content control settings.
3. Overnight notifications will be off in teen accounts.
4. Teen account will give a reminder to the user after using the app continuously for 60 minutes.
5. Teen account also has restrictions on DM, under which no one can DM the users.
