Luck can change a persons fortune. This line fits perfectly for the actor who was once a superstar. When he made his debut in 1990 blockbuster produced by Mahesh Bhatt it created a stir he became an overnight star. In just 11 days he signed 47 films. But today he is seen walking on the streets carrying suitcases without a car. Let us tell you more about him.
The actor began his acting career as a lead actor in 1990 blockbuster film Aashiqui with newcomer Anu Aggarwal. He then appeared opposite Karishma Kapoor in Sudhakar Bokades romantic film Sapne Sajan Ke (1992). You must have guessed by now we are talking about Rahul Roy.
The film Aashiqui made Rahul Roy popular. He turned into an overnight star. After this he started getting offers from producers and directors and he signed 47 films in just 11 days. But none of those films worked.
But later things took a turn and he didn’t even have enough money to pay his hospital bills. In 2020 Rahul suffered a stroke and a heart attack leading to extensive medical treatment including heart and brain angiography. He revealed in an interview after becoming financially strained due to medical bills he was struggling with debts.
Rahul is no longer active in the industry and was even called a flop actor at one point. But he recently made a comeback with Salman Khan in the film Sikander.
