Har Ghar Jal: The Uttar Pradesh government creates jobs via skill training and provides 100% tap water in 24,576 villages

The Har Ghar Nal Se Jal Yojana is being advanced quickly by the Uttar Pradesh government. In 24,576 communities, the program has so far met its 100% goal, and every home now has access to a tap water connection. Of them, 1,769 communities have completely functional water delivery systems that rely on taps.

About 4,86,13,240 people have benefited from the 7944896 connections that have been made overall, according to official statistics. With the project finished in all 1,769 villages, Mirzapur district is in the lead.

Gorakhpur (1372 villages), Kushinagar (693), Hardoi (651), Prayagraj (639), Lalitpur (603), Ghazipur (579), Deoria (574), Shahjahanpur (567), and Basti (553) are among the other districts that are making notable strides.

The Rural Water Supply and Namami Gange Department is creating jobs in addition to guaranteeing access to water. Five women are working in each community to provide Functional Household Tap Connections (FHTCs), while 13 other people are hired after completing skill training in occupations including electricians, plumbers, and fitters.
