Minister of the Urban Development and Housing Department Jivesh Kumar said he was pleased with the clearance, saying the projects would help bring about a “Chakachak Motihari” and solve Buxar’s long-standing drinking water problems.

The Motihari Sewerage Network Project would link 30,000 homes in 32 wards by installing 187 km of sewage pipes, according to departmental data. In addition, 800 metres of rising main pipeline and four intermediate pumping stations will be built as part of the project. Budco will carry out the project under AMRUT 2.0.

Ten tube wells, ten pump houses with chlorinators, four water towers with their own campuses, 10.20 kilometres of rising main, and a 236-kilometre water distribution network are all part of the Buxar Water Supply Scheme. The programme intends to link 16,603 families in the area to drinkable water.
