Dausa. Rajasthan Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has carried out another major action against corruption. In this campaign named "Operation AUDI", ACB has cornered Hariprasad Meena, Executive Engineer of Public Works Department (PWD) posted in Dudu, in a case of disproportionate assets. Initial investigation has revealed illegal assets worth about Rs 4 crore, which is about 200% more than Meena's legal income.
According to ACB sources, this shocking truth came to light after a tip-off and investigation. Accused Meena has allegedly bought two expensive Audi cars, a Scorpio, a Ford Endeavour and a Royal Enfield bike, whose estimated value is Rs 2 crore. Not only this, Meena and his family have also spent about Rs 45 lakh on foreign trips and staying in luxurious hotels.
Meena has bought three luxurious flats in premium apartments like Unique Emporia and Unique New Town in Jaipur's posh area Jagatpura, which are said to be worth around Rs 1.5 crore. Apart from this, a luxurious farm house has also been found in his name in Lalsot area of Dausa district.
ACB teams are conducting simultaneous searches at five different locations in Jaipur, Dudu and Lalsot. Suspicious financial transactions, important documents and bank account information are being collected from these premises. The investigation so far has revealed 19 bank accounts of the accused and their relatives, in which transactions worth crores of rupees have been recorded.
Additional Superintendent of Police Bhupendra Singh is closely monitoring this entire case. This action of ACB has once again proved how some government officials are abusing their positions and acquiring property illegally. At present the investigation is going on and it is expected that many more secrets related to this case may be revealed in the coming days. This action is being considered an important success of ACB against corruption, on which the eyes of the entire state are fixed.
