Online indicator- This feature of WhatsApp has been introduced for group chat. Through this feature, users will be able to see how many people are online in the WhatsApp group at a time. The number of online members can be seen below the group name at the top. Through this feature, you can send a message to reach more and more members of the group when more people are online in the group.

Highlight notifications in groups: A new feature has come for notifications for WhatsApp groups. This feature is for large groups, in which messages keep coming frequently. If you are fed up with the notifications of those messages, then you can use the new Highlight notifications. Through this feature, you will only get notifications of your @mentions and replies in the group.

Events updates: Till now you could create an event in the group, but now users can also create events in 1:1 chat.

Default App for iPhone: iOS users can now make WhatsApp their default messaging and calling app. For this, you have to go to Settings and select WhatsApp in Default Apps.

Video notes for Channels: Now you can create and send short video notes of 60 seconds or less on WhatsApp channels, just like in chat.
