A surprising case has come to light in Kolkata, in which more than 300 cash on delivery (cod) parcels were sent within four months to a woman employee working in a bank. The case highlights the dangerous mentality created after cyber crime and breakdown of personal relationships.

The victim received countless cod parcels between November 2024 to March 2025, including electronic equipment, clothes, gift items, etc. Initially, he considered these parcels a coincidence, but when these incidents started regularizing and faced delivery agents several times a day, he lodged a police complaint.

The Bidhannagar Police Commissionerate started the investigation and found on the basis of cyber evidence that the entire action was being done by the victim's ex -boyfriend Suman Sikdar. During interrogation, Suman admitted that he felt insulted after the breakup and that is why he adopted this method to take revenge.

Suman told the police that his girlfriend expected expensive gifts, which he could not fulfill. He believed that the relationship ended due to economic reasons. This resentment was reflected in his behavior, when he started harassing the victim with unwanted parcels repeatedly.

Suman was arrested and produced in the Salt Lake Court.
