Yogi Adityanath reaffirmed his government’s commitment to growing renewable energy in accordance with growing energy needs at a review meeting held at the Chief Minister’s house. He gave the Union Minister his word that Uttar Pradesh would take the lead in the purchase of wheat and the use of solar energy.

With land to be distributed by the corresponding municipal authorities, CM Yogi ordered the creation of solar parks in each of the 17 municipal corporation cities in order to hasten the use of solar energy. He also said that free solar panels are being given out in Vantangiya communities and underlined the need for integrating solar electricity with public lights. Additionally, solar energy is being linked to tribal populations in Sonbhadra, Mirzapur, Chitrakoot, and Chandauli.

By 2027, the state hopes to generate more than 22,000 megawatts of power under its ambitious Solar Energy Policy.

This covers projects such as:

– construction of solar parks

– Agricultural feeders that run on solar electricity

– On-grid solar pump systems that are private

– Erecting solar power plants along highways and railway lines

– Promoting domestic production of solar equipment

– solar installations, bolstering the transmission network

According to Yogi, more than 10 lakh applications have been received for the PM Surya Ghar Yojana, and 1 lakh households have already had solar panels installed. He gave UPNEDA instructions to guarantee prompt installations and launch a widespread awareness campaign. By the conclusion of the fiscal year, the state wants to treble its monthly installation pace from 11,000 to 22,000. He also brought up the emphasis on skill development at polytechnic institutions.

CM Yogi proudly emphasised that Uttar Pradesh leads the nation in private pump solarisation with regard to the PM Kusum Yojana.

The Chief Minister said he was certain the state will reach its wheat purchase objective on schedule. In comparison to prior years, more than 1.40 lakh metric tonnes of wheat had already been purchased from 26,641 farmers as of April 9. He emphasised how successful mobile procurement centres are in delivering services right to farmers’ doorsteps. Procurement centres are working longer hours and on holidays to make the procedure easier.
