Pralhad Joshi, a BJP politician and Union Minister for Food, Public Distribution, and Consumer Affairs, attacked the Congress in a scathing assault on Friday, accusing the ancient party of being “anti-Hindu” and anti-Dalit.

The Union Minister told reporters at the Vidhana Soudha in Bengaluru: To mark the 100th anniversary of B. R. Ambedkar’s visit to Nippani town in the Belagavi district, we have planned the ‘Bheem Hejje’ rally today.

Union Minister Joshi stated, “The government failed to prepare a programme even when our MLA Shashikala Jolle brought up the fact that Babasaheb Ambedkar’s visit to Nippani town was 100 years ago. Mahatma Gandhi’s visit to Belagavi was remembered by Congress. However, why wasn’t the 100th anniversary of Ambedkar’s visit celebrated?

“We wouldn’t have done it ourselves if the government had planned it.” This event demonstrates our dedication,” he said.

“By handing up areas with a Hindu majority to Pakistan, the Congress deprived him of a seat in the Constituent Assembly. He accused them of preventing him from joining the temporary administration and forcing him to lose elections twice.

According to the Union Minister, the BJP will explain to the public how Rajiv Gandhi and Indira Gandhi, the late prime ministers, “opposed reservations for Dalits.”

“We will also tell people that the Congress insulted AICC President Mallikarjun Kharge,” Union Minister Joshi said.

The gathering will leave the grounds outside the BIC Exhibition Centre after a garland-laying ceremony at Babasaheb’s monument in front of Vidhana Soudha in Bengaluru, according to the BJP Karnataka unit.

The group also intended to present flower tributes at each Ambedkar statue in the villages and taluk centres along the way to Nippani.

All party workers, including the BJP’s SC and ST Morcha, are participating in the rally, and on April 15, a sizable convention will be conducted in Nippani.
