He said that there is no need to provide Rana with special jail biryani and similar facilities like Kasab. Mohammad Taufiq said - he should be hanged straightaway.

'There should be a separate law for terrorists'

India does not need to provide Tahawwur Rana with a special cell, biryani and such facilities in jail. He also demanded that there should be separate laws to deal with terrorists. There should be such a system that he should be hanged within 2-3 months.

Let us tell you that Rana is accused of being involved in the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks. Hundreds of innocent people were killed in the attack. Now Tahawwur will be tried in India.

Rana's petition was rejected in the US

On April 7, the United States Supreme Court rejected Tahawwur Rana's plea to stay his extradition to India. Rana filed an emergency application before Chief Justice Roberts on March 20, 2025, seeking a stay on his extradition.

The Supreme Court order issued on Monday, April 7, said: “The application for stay addressed to the Chief Justice and referred to the Court is dismissed.

The terrorist attack took place on 26 November 2008

According to the Mumbai Crime Branch, the criminal conspiracy case against Rana was registered by the NIA in Delhi after the deadly November 2008 attacks in which over 160 people were killed.
