Mukesh Ambani has relaunched Campa Cola based on the model and pricing strategy similar to Jio. It created a challenge in front of exciting players in the beverages market like Coca-Cola and Pepsi. Reliance Consumer Products Limited (RCPL) has disrupted the soft-drink industry  similarly it did in intelecom with the launch of Jio. When Jio entered the telecom sector it reduced data and calling prices. It was so affordable to common people that many Indians subscribed to it. Jio also did expansion in 4G networks  and attracted customers of Airtel and Vodafone. As data consumption increased it also helped other industries entertainment and OTT platforms. Campa Cola Relaunch Campa Cola was famous in the 1970s and 1980s. When Reliance acquired it it was relaunched with new strategies. Campa Cola entered in the price sensitive market of the Indian soft drink industry. It launched a 200ml bottle  just for Rs 10. It cost half of its competitors like Coke and Pepsi’s bottles. This aggressive pricing strategy gained many consumers for Campa Cola. Utilisation Reliance’s Network Reliance also used its network to market Campa Cola. It was distributed through Reliance Fresh Smart Stores and JioMart. Small retailers were given higher margins of 6-8% which is more than other brands. This led to a surge in demand for Reliance’s brand. Within just 18 months of its relaunch Campa Cola generated over Rs 1000 crore in revenue. It also captured more than a 10% market share in several states. It also forced global giants to lower prices and introduce new packaging.
