In a heartwarming and now-viral post, an Assam-based father has reignited the debate around parenting in the digital age. A man named Pagan took to social media platform X (formerly Twitter) to share a glimpse of his parenting philosophy and the internet can't stop talking about it.
In a short video, Pagan’s young son can be seen intensely focused, typing at lightning speed while playing a video game on a laptop. But it wasn’t just the gaming skills that caught people’s attention it was Pagan’s refreshing take on parenting that truly resonated.
"My younger son Sidharth. He types faster than my eyes can see. My wife and me, made a decision, that we will never limit our sons. No matter what," Pagan wrote.
But that’s not all Pagan proudly shared that his son isn’t just a skilled gamer, he’s also the topper of his class, confident, well-liked by teachers and classmates, and already climbing the competitive gaming ladder, despite being too young for official tournaments.
“He tops his class, he’s smart, confident, and has lots of friends,” Pagan wrote, emphasising that his son is thriving academically and socially while pursuing a passion often frowned upon by traditional parenting norms.
“I believe we shouldn’t control our kids. We should trust that they’ll find their own way. As parents, our job is to support them not mold them into what we want,” he said.
