On the occasion of his 90th birthday, the Deputy Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh paid respects to the late Lalji Tandon, the head of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), and said that his doors were always open to party members.
Pathak honoured the late Tandon by promising that the state administration will keep working to make his vision of “Viksit Uttar Pradesh” a reality.
Pathak called Tandon “Babuji” since it was how party workers affectionately referred to him.
“I honour Lalji Tandon on this day, which is his birth anniversary. His doors were always open to party workers, and he always worked for the people. Every home in Lucknow has ties to Pujya Babuji. Babuji sought to establish the ideal of purity. We honour him with our homage. In order to realise his aspirations for Viksit UP, our party and administration would never stop working,” Pathak told reporters here.
In the meantime, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath honoured former Bihar and Madhya Pradesh Governor Lalji Tandon on the anniversary of his birth and claimed that he carried out his constitutional duties with “full honesty” while maintaining positive relationships with both individuals and political parties.
“He carried out his constitutional duties with complete integrity and kept cordial links with the populace, whether in Patna or Bhopal. In the process, he reinforced the system and made a connection with the ‘Raj Bhavan Janata ke Dwar’ campaign. “Today marks Lalji Tandon’s 90th birthday,” Yogi Adityanath stated as he spoke to the crowd.
“I want to assure the Tandon family that the party stands with them, and the people of Lucknow also stand with them,” the UP CM stated.
During the time of LK Advani and Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Tandon was a tall BJP politician. In 2020, he passed away at a Lucknow hospital. In July 2019, he was sworn in as the governor of Madhya Pradesh.
