Delhi SA defeated a tenacious Rajasthan FA team 3-2 on Friday to earn their first victory in the Dream Sports Championship Football 2025 girls’ National Finals. The Delhi squad needed the victory after losing their first game against Kerala FA. Both Odisha FA and Assam FA secured their second triumphs in the current U-17 football championship with outstanding victories.
Before halftime, Deeva extended Delhi’s lead after Neetika Negi started the score in the 23rd minute. Rajasthan made a valiant comeback with goals by Manju Kanwar and a penalty conversion by captain Sanju Kanwar in the 63rd minute, but skipper Anitha D’s third goal proved to be the game-changing factor.

In the second match of the evening, Odisha FA defeated Kerala 3-0, showcasing their offensive ability. Just four minutes into the game, Ipsita Rout scored the first of two goals in rapid succession.
Three minutes later, Odisha took a commanding early lead thanks to another goal. Odisha’s defence held Kerala at bay throughout the match to earn a clean sheet and a commanding three points, while Kiran Deep clinched the victory with a well-taken goal in the 62nd minute.
According to the Dream Sports Championship news release, Jharkhand FA easily defeated Karnataka State FA 3-0 in the day’s other matches.
In the eighth minute, Anamika gave Jharkhand FA the lead with an early goal. Later, in the second half, Sanjna and Rashmi also saw their names appear on the scoring sheet. The team’s second goal was scored by Sanjna in the 75th minute, but Rashmi’s strike in the 90th gave them a resounding victory.
Assam FA defeated Goa FA in the morning’s second match despite falling behind in the first half. In the 39th minute, Pearl Fernandes gave Goa FA the lead. However, Karina Narah’s goal in the 54th minute gave Assam FA the equaliser. The team finally won the game after taking the lead in the 71st minute thanks to a goal from captain Rupi Barla.
