The city police filed a 1,600-page charge sheet relying on forensic analysis and CCTV footage against Mohammed Shariful Fakir Islam (30), who was arrested in a failed robbery attempt at actors Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan's residence in suburban Mumbai.

Khan was stabbed six times at his home during the wee hours of January 16. According to the Mumbai Police, Islam, who intruded into the house and entered the bedroom of Khan's son, demanded Rs 1 crore from the actor's staffers, some of whom were also injured in the attack.

The police said Islam's movements have been captured on more than 25 CCTV cameras from Bandra to Thane, both before and after the incident. First seen around the actor's building at 3 pm on January 15, he entered the building by jumping across from a neighbouring building, the charge sheet said. He also hid in the same neighbouring dilapidated building for an hour before fleeing the area, it said.
