Mukesh Ambani’s Reliance Industries has achieved a historic feat by becoming the first Indian company to reach a market cap of Rs 20 lakh crore. The credit for the company’s success goes directly to the hard work and leadership of Ambani. But behind every successful leader there are trusted associates. One such person is Mukesh Ambani’s childhood friend Anand Jain. Anand Jain is the chairman of Jai Corp Limited and is considered to be very close to the Ambani family. Mukesh Ambani and Anand Jain became friends at Mumbai’s Hill Grange High School. When Mukesh Ambani returned from Stanford University in 1981 Anand Jain was already working with Reliance founder Dhirubhai Ambani. Mukesh Ambani played an important role in bringing him into Reliance Industries. Notably Jain was ranked 11th richest Indian by Forbes in the year 2007. That time his net worth was USD 4 billion (about Rs 33154 crore). The market value of Jai Corp at that time was USD45 billion (about Rs 3.7 lakh crore). Started in 1985 Jai Corp deals in steel manufacturing plastic processing yarn spinning and real estate development. The company is involved in developing Special Economic Zones infrastructure and real estate as well as making venture capital investments. It has invested in 33 Jain’s expertise in real estate finance and capital market makes him one of the most valuable person in the Mukesh Ambani-owned company. While working as a strategic advisor to Ambani he played a crucial role in expanding Reliances real estate transactions. He is also a member of boards of Mumbai Port Trust and Jawaharlal Nehru Port. Anand Jain a significant figure in Reliance reportedly receives no salary from the parent company.  His compensation comes from Reliance Infocomm the telecom subsidiary he manages. Anand Jain maintains a private life outside of his business dealings. He and his wife Sushma Jain a homemaker have two children: Neha and Harsh. Harsh Jain is notable as a co-founder of Dream11 a prominent Indian fantasy sports platform alongside Bhavit Seth. Dream11 founded in 2008 achieved unicorn status in April 2018 becoming the first Indian fantasy sports platform to reach this milestone. By October 2023 it boasted over 200 million users and provided fantasy sports options for various games including cricket football and baseball.
