Salman Khan Death Threat: Bollywood actor Salman Khan received another death threat after an unknown individual sent a WhatsApp message to Mumbai’s Transport Department in Worli, sources said on Monday.
The message, according to sources, threatened to kill the actor inside his Mumbai residence and also warned of bombing his car.
A case has been registered against an unidentified person at the Worli Police Station, with officials trying to investigate the source of the threat and its authenticity, they said.
Over the last few years, the Bollywood actor has received multiple death threats, with the majority of them being indirectly linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, which is believed to be targeting Khan over his alleged involvement in the 1998 Blackbuck poaching case.
In April 2024, two motorbike-borne individuals opened fire outside the actor’s Bandra residence, Galaxy Apartment, and fled the scene. They were later arrested in Gujarat for the shooting, which the police said was the handiwork of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.
Later, the Bishnoi gang threatened the actor and demanded that he either visit a temple or publicly apologise for the alleged blackbuck killing or pay Rs 5 crore.
In October last year, some unknown individuals again threatened the actor, demanding a Rs 2 crore ransom. In 2023, a threat email allegedly sent by gangster Goldy Brar was received.
Recently, Khan opened up on the threats during a press meet in Mumbai, saying: “Bhagwan, Allah sab unpar hai. Jitni umar likhi hai, utni likhi hai. Bas yahi hai (God and Allah are watching over. My lifespan will be as long as fate allows. That’s it)."
He shared that he now restricts his movements solely between his home and film sets, stating that he feels less at ease without media presence and avoids unnecessary outings.
