A new Special Task Force (STF) facility is being built on Golaghat Road to improve security in Ayodhya as the number of pilgrims and visitors increases. The Public Works Department (PWD) is overseeing the renovation, which is anticipated to be finished and turned over to the police by September.
At a cost of Rs 9 crore, the four-story structure is being built over an area of around 1995.12 square meters. The temple town’s growing security concerns and requests for crime control made a specialized STF unit building necessary.
The new facility will be outfitted with contemporary amenities, including CCTV monitoring, high-speed internet, and a dedicated emergency control center. Additionally, the building’s design prioritizes economy and sustainability, including features like solar panels and a rainwater collecting system.
The PWD’s Executive Engineer, Umesh Chandra, reports that plastering is now in process and that the construction is moving forward at a steady pace. For convenience, there will be a dedicated parking space on the ground level.
