Mumbai Police said, "Worli Traffic Control Room's WhatsApp number received a threat message for actor Salman Khan wherein it was threatened that the actor would be killed at his home and an explosion would be executed in his vehicle. Worli Police have registered an FIR against an unidentified individual and launched an investigation. The number was traced to belong to a 26-year-old man in a village near Vadodara in Gujarat. Over the last few years, the Bollywood actor has received multiple threats from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang for his alleged involvement in the 1998 Blackbuck poaching case, as the animal holds religious significance for the Bishnoi community.
A case was registered under Section 351(2)(3) of the Indian Penal Code at Worli Police Station, Guru No. 118/25.

Salman Khan first received a threat from Bishnoi in 2018 when the gangster was arrested and brought to court. While in police custody, Bishnoi made the bold declaration that Salman Khan would be killed in Jodhpur.
In 2022, Salman Khan's father, Salim Khan, found a threatening letter during his morning walk near their home.
The note, left on a bench where Salim Khan regularly sat declared that both father and son would be killed, even stating, "Tumhara Moose Wala kar denge (you will end up like Moose Wala)," alluding to the murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala, who had been shot dead by the Bishnoi gang earlier in the year.
Death threats to Salman Khan didn't end her; a member of the actor's team received the mail in March 2023, leading to a case being registered against the actor at the Bandra police station.
In April 2024, shots were fired outside the actor's house in Bandra. Two individuals on a motorcycle fired several rounds at the balcony of Salman Khan's first-floor apartment before fleeing. The actor even stated later that he believed the attack was orchestrated by the Bishnoi gang to harm him and his family.
