Know what is the new rule of RBI-

Although the locker facility is provided to the customers by the banks, the banks also charge the customers for the locker. Now recently some changes have been made to the new bank locker rules of RBI (bank locker ke niyam). Under the new rules, if a person keeps his belongings in a bank locker (bank locker rules updates), then the bank will be responsible for paying the damages if that belongings get damaged.

How much will the bank compensate for the customers' locker-

Under the new rules (RBI rules on locker), if the belongings kept in the locker get damaged, the bank customer will have to pay 100 times the annual rent of the locker (bank locker service charge). On the other hand, if there is any other reason in the bank like fire, robbery, or any other kind of disaster, then the bank itself will compensate for the loss caused by it.

This is how you can get a locker in the bank-

If you want to get a locker in the bank (RBI Guidelines for bank locker), then for this you will have to first go to the branch, go there, and get your locker opened. Let us tell you that this can be any of your nearest branches. Then you will have to apply there. Actually, as per the rules (bank locker ka kiraya), the locker is allotted to you on a first come first serve basis.

Along with this, if you submit the application (bank locker application) and your name comes in the waiting list of the bank, then the bank gives you a locker. However, in return, some amount is taken from you as rent.
