Bhubaneswar: On Tuesday, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi of Odisha sanctioned the addition of 2,500 new home guard positions within the state.
With this decision, the total number of home guard roles will rise to 20,175, as per an official announcement.
Previously, Majhi had revealed plans to bolster the state police force, aiming to enhance law enforcement across Odisha.
He indicated that approximately 12,000 new positions would be established across various divisions of the Odisha Police.
