In order to offer basic care for kids across Uttar Pradesh, the Directorate of School Education has ordered that all government schools have first aid packs. These boxes will include materials for healing small wounds and cuts as well as drugs for common conditions including fever, cold, and stomachaches.
To guarantee that this decision is followed, instructions have been sent to all District School Inspectors (DIOs) and Basic Education Officers (BSAs). This decision follows Dr. Ratan Pal Singh Suman, the Director General of Medical and Health, who suggested that medical kits be required in elementary, middle, and high schools.
According to Kanchan Verma of the Directorate of School Education, the Composite School Grant would pay for the first aid kits. Bandages, Digene pills for acidity, ORS powder, Ondem for vomiting, Metrozole syrup for stomach infections, Dicyclomine syrup for stomach discomfort, Betadine ointment for cuts and wounds, and Diclofenac gel for body pain will all be included in the first aid kits.
The decision would allow for quick primary care inside the school, removing the need to transport pupils to basic health clinics for minor diseases, said Anil Yadav, state president of the UP BTC Teachers Association.
