Desk. Starlink's satellite internet service is expected to start in India soon. The delegation of Allen Musk's company has met Central Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal in New Delhi. The Union Minister has shared a picture of this meeting with his official X handle. Starlink's delegation included the company's Vice President Chad Gibs and Senior Director Ryan Goodnight.
The Union Minister told through his X post that the Starlink cutting-edge technology platform in India and its current partnership and future investment plan was discussed. Starlink's satellite internet service has been reported for a long time. This was the first official meeting with the government of Starlink officials.
Alan Musk's company has not received regulatory approval to start its service in India. However, the company has already partnered with Reliance Jio and Bharti Airtel for the sale of its equipment. Under this deal, both telecom companies will sell Starlink Equipments and Services at their outlets.
