Washington, DC: On Wednesday (US local time), US President Donald Trump met with Patty Morin, the mother of Rachel Morin, an American citizen who was cruelly killed by an illegal immigrant in 2023. Trump told Morin, “She’s a beautiful woman; she’s been through hell,” praising her fortitude. He said, “Your daughter’s looking down, proud of you; just keep it going.”
The White House posted a video of the somber meeting on X. The administration compared Senator Chris Van Hollen’s activities with Morin’s visit in the article.
“While Sen. Chris Van Hollen tried to coddle an MS-13 alien in El Salvador, Angel Mom Patty Morin stood in the Oval Office with President Trump–fighting for her daughter, raped and murdered by an MS-13 alien from El Salvador,” the White House said.
Earlier, during a White House press conference on Wednesday (US local time), Patty Morin gave a tearful and devastating description of her daughter’s death. In August 2023, Rachel Morin died after being raped on a hiking route in Bel Air, Maryland.
Authorities claim that Victor Antonio Martinez-Hernandez, the convicted murderer, was an illegal immigrant and fugitive from El Salvador.
“Every inch of her body was damaged in some way, whether it was cuts, contusions, fractured bones, or bruises. With sorrow in her voice, Patty said, “She had a fractured rib, nose, and skull.”
During the Easter Prayer Service and Dinner at the White House, President Trump recognized her and called her an “Angel Mom”.
Our support for you is unwavering. Mom, you are really an angel,” Trump said.
Patty Morin continued at the White House Press Briefing by revealing that the pictures of the abuse her daughter had to undergo were so upsetting that they had to be sealed to save her grandchildren from seeing them.
“President Trump wants to get rid of criminals like this from our nation. We need to get rid of crooks like this from our nation. We are citizens of the United States. Why should we tolerate the murder of our mothers, sisters, and daughters by vicious criminals with no conscience at all? “Why this is even a problem at all is beyond me,” Patty Morin said.
The White House briefing room was hushed as Patty described the atrocities her daughter had experienced. When the floor was offered for questions, nobody raised any questions, which was a somber occasion. The seriousness of Patty’s statement impacted everyone in the room, and there was a strong feeling of introspection across the room.
CNN reported that Salvadoran fugitive Victor Antonio Martinez-Hernandez was found guilty in the case on Monday. Authorities said that in August 2023, Rachel Morin was slain while hiking in Bel Air.
